What role do you play in lead?

I’m a trustee at LEAD and I’ve always been fascinated by leadership — what it looks like when it’s done well, and the impact it can have on people’s lives.

Who is your favourite leader?

I’m a big Formula 1 fan and enjoy following leaders like Toto Wolff, Susie Wolff, and Lewis Hamilton, as well as Mark Carney. But the leader who influenced me most wasn’t famous at all — it was my housemaster at junior boarding school. I don’t remember his name, but I remember how safe, seen, and supported he made me feel at a really vulnerable time. That experience stayed with me.

Where are you leading?

Outside of LEAD, I work as a weight loss coach, helping people build small, realistic habits that lead to healthier lives. I also train and develop other coaches.

Why are you excited about working with LEAD?

I’m excited about LEAD because I believe leadership changes everything. I’ve spent years learning about it, reading authors like John Maxwell, attending conferences, and seeing both the good and the bad up close. Giving young people the chance to develop these skills early feels incredibly important.

What is your advice to a young leader?

My advice to young leaders: lead yourself first, stay humble, and keep learning.
